Engine must remain stock as from factory with only these exceptions. If engine is other than these specific exceptions it will be deemed illegal.
1. You may run an aftermarket filter and adaptor. Adaptor may not act as a velocity stack. Filter must filter from all areas with no open areas or holes.
2. Jet size is not a tech item. Jet may be any size.
3. You may run an aftermarket header. Header must be of continuous length, no tubes into or out of and not adjustable. Header or muffler can not extend past the rear bumper. Muffler must be RLV part # 8-91 or approved by tech man.
4. Governer may be removed and hole plugged.
5. Low oil shut down may be removed and plugged.
6. The on/off switch may be removed.
7. Throttle linkage is not a tech item.
8. Exhaust studs may be drilled and wired.(recommended)
9. This class must use a shoe type clutch. No disc clutches allowed.
10. Claim on an engine is $250.00. This does not include the allowed aftermarket parts. Motor subject to tech at any time.
11. If a claim is made it must come from a kart driver or owner entered in the same race and finishing in the top 5.(money coming from driver or owner in the scale area only.)
12. The claimed engine may be teched and compared to stock sample. This especially includes stock clone valve springs, stock clone cam, and carburetor.
Springs 1.215 max length, .073 max wire, .640 min to .650 max inside. This includes intake and exhaust. Cam max lift at spring .250 exhaust and .240 intake.
13. If a claim is refused or engine is deemed illegal, the driver and kart will be suspended from competing in this class at least 2 consecutive races or more as determined by track owner or tech man.
14. Engine must run gasoline from pump with no additives.
15. 6.5 clone adult ( 15 and up) - 360lbs
16. 6.5 clone junior (14 and under) - 285lbs with .500plate.
17. As participation grows, weights and ages may change.
18. These rules may be adjusted as needed by track management.
